The resolving power of a CCD is its ability to detect fine detail and is determined by the size of the CCD pixels and the focal length of the telescope. In some applications neighbouring pixels can be combined in a process known as binning which effectively makes them larger. Leave the ‘binning’ field set to ‘1’ as default if you are not binning your CCD.
